Can removing the air silencer cause a maf sensor problem? Thanks for the help

 

NOPE. I ran mine without a silencer for several thousand miles, with a k&n in its place mind you. didnt get any codes, and it ran like a champ. you are good, the silencer is before the filter, and the maf after...so too many things in its way to affect all that. your safe.

 

thanks for the info. It just started throwing a maf code right after I took it off. It just might be a freak thing.
