poor throttle response..
i have a 2000 V6 , unfortunatly it is auto.. and the throttle response seems sluggish?? any suggestions would be great. i have already raised the accleration peddle up. i have a k & n filter. i don't want to spend much $$.. should i reset the computer would that help?? I have already cleaned the TB and IAC.. the car idles like a rock, solid at 750. I don't know.. maybe i am just expecting something that is not possible.
If your K&N is a replacement for the stock filter and you therefore still have the stock clamshell housing covering the filter, then remove the silencer the extends into the fenderwell.
If you K&N isthe typicalexposed cone filter, then join the club - mine toois not as responsive as I'd like.
I have an 01 auto with an exposed cone filter clamped onto where the stock unit slides over, and I also have VAPauto's 1/2 MANIFOLD space and a 25% underdrive pulley.
My car runs great except for what you are describing.
