bought a cold air intake from ebay, it made the intake noise very loud (can hear it on the inside of the car), is this typical of all the CAI's?

no brand, its a "ebay" deal looks like the MAC type, but its a no brander, its bout 3 inches in diameter, still uses the MAF, it all looks designed correct, even has holes for the PCV and the IAC

It is exactly this one, but it didnt list it as a MAC intake, but exactly like this, and came with a "cone air filter"

Yes, you will have a different sound now because of the CAI. At least it's not an annoying sound!!
