Default ’80 2.3L stalls

I have a 1980 mustang, 2.3L automatic w/air that stalls when I let off the gas. It starts ok and runs at 750rpm but if I accellerate and then come to a stop, it stalls.

I just got this car and I see the vacuum lines are a mess and I noticed the dashpot does not have a vacuum line connected but there is a pair of ellectrical connections on the dashpot.

Any suggestions, and or help in connecting the vacuum system up correctly? This mustang has air conditioning but I will not attenpt to fix the airconditioning for some time. Winter coming on in Indianapolis. I want to use this daily for now.

Thanks

I've recommended this a few times already, but it's still true...everybody needs a Chilton manual. Not only will you find vacuum maps of your hoses, but the electrical schematics are in there too. This is something nobody can "tell" you how to straighten out. It's a hands-on deal.

Nothing you can't handle.
