I own a 2000 Automatic v6 mustang with headers true duals with an Hpipe and a diablo predator tuner and CAI. I was coming home from classes yesterday and seen a 05 yellow mustang flying across the bridge, so being the mustang owner I am I go flying up behind him. At the red light at the top of the hill I pulled up next to him, we got along to talk about he just bought it the day before and loves it. he said its a 4.0L v6 with a 5 speed manual. Soon as the light turned he said lets run them. So he let me in front of him as i paced the traffic back. Up ahead was a 2 lane tunnel and we got a rolling start at about 20 MPH. Off we went I was amazed at how fast the 05 was stock, I ran mirror to mirror bumper to bumper couldnt loose him and he couldnt loose me. Suprised on how well i kept up with him BARELLY pulled on him towards the end of the tunnel was a hell of a race though. He then went to ask me If it was a gt lol i was like no just small mods and the guy was very suprised that it was an auto an ran the way it did. Was a good race that i been waiting on since I seen the 05 out on the streets. not bad race gotta give me credit for a 2000 with 55k on it not bad ah?

I saw a red 05 v6 on the way home from work last night and he was looking at my car like it was a piece... so at the next light i took off the line and left him in the dust. It wasn't a race so to speak, but he deserved to see the tails of my lil 00. haha.

 

i ran an 05 v6. only because the kid had his friends (4 people for crying out loud!) in the car and were mocking me because i had an 04. ummm hello? mine's a GT. so yeah, i left them like they were standing still.

 

im surprised that someone ran u in a 2005, because most 05 drivers around here are old, and women....mainly the 05 v6s around here are driven by old women for some reason, but i havent ran into one yet....id prolly lose yeah theyre pretty quick....one kid i know thinks they can beat a 04 cobra wit an 05 v6.... just cuz its a 2005......

 

Lol dogal I got a good bit of things done to mine and it runs, gave me a battle dont race the 05 yet get some more stuff done was a close race tho. Funny kid thought it was a GT and i replied if this were a GT i would def. OWND u

Well now I'm p*ssed! I mean 2005 is newer than 2004, it should be faster! I'm taking it back to the dealer!

LOL...all the 2005 stangs i see on dulles toll road are driven either by women of some men who dont know how to drive a stang..driving on the third or fourth lane at 55 mph [:'(]
its like, when I zoom past them i feel like its all left upto us old stangs to keep up to the reputation.

I saw an 05 GT vert..he looked like a chicken tryin to cross a road [sm=smiley21.gif]

This "bang for the buck" thingy has screwed up everything related to the stangs.

oh, and stupidtodd, that's exactly the attitude the kids around here who had mommy & daddy buy their 05s have. they think just because it's an 05, it'll be ANY previous generation mustang.
