If the eBay link is correct (and those really are Roush springs) they look remarkably similar to my springs ... anyway, cheap isn't correct. There aren't any inexpensive 'kits' that I've found which include everything that you'll need (shocks/struts, springs, isolators, c/c plates) but you can search them out online, individually. You want performance, you have to pay for it. I trust the products I purchased, otherwise I wouldn't have installed them. Cutting or changing out springs without putting in new dampeners isn't the best way to go but everyone's experiences here are different. My experience says that you don't have to buy top of the line products (at their prices) to have a reliable performance suspension that handles exceptionally & rides smooth.

I replaced my shocks/struts (even though when I did it my car was only 7 years old with less than 45k on the odometer) as well as the isolators. You only 'need' c/c plates if you're going down more than 1.5". I would do it all, then you don't have to go back in there again (for at least another 50k miles). It's up to you how you want it to perform.

If your 18" Cobras aren't any larger than stock 15 or 17 inch rims, then the only rubbing you should have is when you turn all the way to one side the rack in the v6ers goes farther than the ones in the v8 Mustangs. Other than that, no worries ...
