I wouldn;t remove my spring isolators for the sake of lowering the car. They're there for a reason, too much metal to metal contact on moving parts is bad.

they will only give you less then 1/4 of an inch removing both top and bottom will give you 1/4 so if your only doing the top dont expect any noticable drop buuuuuuuut you can safly go to 1.25 of inch without shocks hell maybe even 1.50 but if you rstill wanting to take yours out its really simple but if you ever do get springs your goin to kick yourself for just not waiting as it is a bit tedious

but here goes

jack up car
put jack stands undercar
turn wheel towards opposite side of car will make things easier
remove wheel
put jack under control arm and jack up a bit
take brake caliper off and hang it from bolt (i used a zip tie)
unbolt sway bar
take flat tip screw driver put in slot on top of strut and take nut off(i used an adjustable wrench)
push strut through tower and slowly lower jack while holding strut so it will clear everything
swing strut/rotor assumbly outward and push control arm down untill you can remove spring(with stock springs you may have to push kinda hard and twist the spring a bit)
the isolator will be taped to the top of the spring just pull it off i reccomend wraping the spring a few times with electrical tape jsut as a guard
and then do it all in reverse to put it back together

im sorry of i forgot anything its been awhile but i think thats every thing just make sure to not put too much pressure on the brake line if you brake it your day will be ruined

As someone who attempted to do this without air tools, I highly recommend you reconsider ... it's really not worth the effort (even with air tools) unless you plan to go lower than this. I'd even recommend cutting the springs (with a wheel only) rather than removing the isolators. It is a LOT of work for minimal return ...
