idle problem

2000 v6 manual 100,000 mi, when im driving then put it in neutral the rpms drop to 500 and it bogs. but when i come to a stop they go back to 800. what could be the reason for dropping so low? thanks for any help

Could be your MAF, or TB, could be the computer, or the Idle control modual going out. Does it throw any codes? Have you changed anything recently?

Could also be IAC or vacuum ... is this only with the motor warm/driving? Need more details.

w/ 100,00 it could use a tune up if you have not already. but like matt said it could be your MAF. try cleaning it and then disconnect your positive and negative battery cables and touch and hold them together so it can try to relearn its idle.
