How do you guys figure out your MPG's? Just simple mathematics? lol I'm pretty sure mine is bad though.

Fill up your tank until it clicks off. This gives you a pretty exact measuring point. Also, reset your odometer, or if your car doesn't have one, note the mileage. Drive drive drive til your ready to fill up agan. Fill till it clicks again, and there on the gallon gauge on the pump will be the amount you used. Check your odometer for the miles you drove. Divide and there you go, a pretty precise way...

I get about 24-26 easy. You should be getting close to that too, unless you are WOT all the time.

Like I've said before, its the way people drive that makes the differnce in mpg. After doing a few mods to try and help your mpg, naturally, your going to drive strictly for economy, instead of following your normal driving habits.

Its like placebo on the weight loss commercials. The people on placebo (fake pill) still lose weight. Why? they make slight changes to their eating habits and excerise habits, resulting in small, but noticeable results. Same thing applies with cars and mpg.

Another way to figure you mpg is to set your trip odometer when you fill up. Fill it completely, till it clicks. Then the next time you fill up divide the miles driven by the gallons pumped. I never let my car go until empty, I usually fill up at 1/2 tank. If I am driving long distance I fill up at 1/4 tank. Lived in Cali for to long and drove through the desert to Vegas all the time, you learn not to let your gas get to low out there.
