windstar intake

Default windstar intake

it just came in yesterday. im not going to put it in for a couples weeks(leaving for vacation tonight). but i was wondering if any one had any tips for installing to make it go a little smoother.

While I can't give any direct advice for the install, I will say this. Make sure you have a digital camera with you for the install and take lots of pictures through out the swap, that way you know what goes back, and where. Also use tie wraps (colored) and use difference color combinations (such as green/green, green,orange/green,orange) so that you know what vacume and fuel lines go back where. That way between the pics and the color coding with the tie wraps, you can put everything back together quickly and properly.

If you're doing the m112 you can't do the Windstar. One or the other type deal.

Just make sure you route he vacuum lines right. The only problem i had was keeping to iac lines from leaking. www.vapauto.com has a write-up of the entire install.

any plz help me i have everything in bolted down(with the exception of the vacum lines) but the throttle wont work it only opens about a 1/8" at full throttle tryed spacing the pedal about a 1/2" and no change help

Get a 1/2" to 1" piece of 3/8(maybe smaller) fuel line. Cut it down the length of the hose and slide it over the throttle cable between the pedal and the cable and put zip ties around the hos.

ok well i spaceed the throttle cable and it helped a little but i cant get the throtle arm to rotate fully i mounted it to the coil pack mount exactly how it was on the stock set up(which is how it looks in the picture)

and its drivable but stil not perfect if someone could post some pics of thier throttle cable set up on the gas pedal and in the engine bay i would apreciate it alot
