Default A/C slector switch?

I was riding in my 96 v6 mustang today (360000 miles) and my ac was not completly going from my defrost to vent. I am assumeing that this is a cable. How hard is it to get to and can a ole shade tree tackle this. What is the best way to attack this?. Thanks to all for any help in advance

If your AC is turning on but is stuck on Defrost then I had this same problem on my 95 v6. If this applies to you, then just look at your vacum lines closest the your windshield under the hood. The lines should go from one side of the car to the other.

This line is probably broken or cracked (as mine was) just replace the line and your good to go.

If you need any help or pics just let me know and i will get them on here tomorrow.

Here are the pics, The line that is pictured was just the line that broke on my car. So, This does not mean that anouther line couldn't be broke on yours
.
As you can see, the line that i used is fairly large, the original line was the tiny line that is pictured in the "CONNECT HERE" Picture.

I only used the larger line because i had it laying around and it made no Difference in performance compared to the OE.
