IAC restrictor and CEL?
Okay, I seem to be having problems here. I did the IAC restrictor mod a few weeks back, and everything went amazingly well. Well, that is until a few hundred miles later when the Service Engine Soon light came on. I figured it was probably something I did (usually car problems are my fault lol), and the only thing I could think of was the IAC restrictor. So when I got home from work, I swapped the stock gasket back in and disconnected the battery for about 10 minutes to clear the code. Two weeks later (I commute about 200-300 miles per week), still no CEL. Well, last week I figure what the heck and do the IAC mod again figuring I didn't have the holes the right size; this time I made sure the holes were correctly sized. Well, sure enough, after about 200 miles, the Service Engine light comes back on... what the heck?!!
Anybody else have problems with the IAC restrictor mod throwing a CEL? Do I just need to get a tuner and clear the code and let that be the end of it, or did I do something terribly wrong with the mod?

never heard of that happening.. thats odd
are you using that felt gasket material? try making one out of aluminum or something
i would take it to autozone and figure out what the code is first. my bet is it could just be something else that took that long to trip the light again
