use some jb weld adhesive or something. and instead of using pliers to cut the pieces off i would use a hacksaw instead so you dont deform the metal or anything from squeezing to cut.

does anyone know where to get the antenna wire that tapes around the top of the windshield.

For deleting the antenna, the best thing to use comes out of the late model t-bird. They had an amplified antenna mounted in the rear quarter panel.
