Default Rattle Noise

I have an 01 v6 and i recently cut off the mufflers and went with straight pipes for a more aggressive sound. when i am on a flat surface like at a stop light there is a rattle noise coming from under the car. ive put it up on a lift and noticed that one of my catalytic converters is dented but not extremely. any ideas where the rattling might be coming from?

i had that problem with mine when i made it true duels, it came from my left tailpipe's hanger hitting against the gas tank, and it only rattled when i idled. if u cant find what im talking about i can take a pic tomorrow for u

I had this same problem, check your hangers, it's probable because when you cut it, the pipes are not properly supported.

ive still got tail pipes just no mufflers between. i have true duals.the hangers are still holding up the tailpipes. the reason i cut them off is because the 40 series flowmasters quieted the car down way too much. i was thinking the exhaust pipes might be rattling because there is no weight from the mufflers holding them down still?

check the last hanger by ur tailpipe, there is something metal by there that could be hitting hit
