i would also check tirerack.com. sorry no experience on the nitto's, but I have heard good things and they are quite inexpensive.

I am running the Bridgestone potenza RE960 Pole Positions, they are top rated on tirerack for Ultra High Performance All-Season, both by tirerack.com tests and user reviews. Based on the data, these are the best all season tires money can buy. Wet traction is great, feels like driving on dry pavement. Light snow traction is decent, but if you get a lot of snow where you are, you'll want a set of winter tires anyway.

is it bad that I've had my car for ~13k miles and have gone through almost 2 sets of tires? :P haha. I spend so much money on rubber... thank god for nails in the road that get me a new tire or two for ~30 bucks each. Haha. I've gotten 5 new tires that way... someone may not like me, but the way I drive they're doing me a favor. lol.

Nitto Invos are Excelent tires. I dont have personal experience with them but they are on my list of tires on my next set. I have heard they offer great traction and their life span is decent for the type of tire.

I would recomend about any:
Nitto
BFG
Michelin
or even Yokahama

I would not Recomend:
Kuhmo
Goodyear (Unless the GS D3)
Falken (maybe the Ze-115 or FK 452)
Toyo (maybe the Proxes R888)

Hope it helps
(Edit: These are just my opinions but i have experience with most of these tires being that I work for a tire company.)

Yes that is very bad. Unless your running Drag Radials any tire should last over 6k miles. I would talk with your Discount Tire/Americas tire about why that is. I would guess that it is something mechanical (i.e. Alignment, Struts, Shocks...etc)

As far as you getting $30 tires, I take it you shop at Discount Tire/Americas Tire because that is what's SOOO GOOD about the "Certificates for Free Replacement"--You spend a little more money off the bad but if you "play your cards right" you get your money back! I'm not mad at you. LOL

like i said, invos a great tires. i am happy with mean- and i guess its true that my tires are tougher than nails. i have a nail in mine, on the outer rib which is that hardest compound part of the tire and its still working just fine. its about to start getting cold here so i dont know how they will work in the cold

I'm willing to be the reason is a mixture of my lead foot, crappy roads, and shot struts. But I've replaced my shocks struts and springs all the way around, and my tires stick much better than they did before. I used to lose traction over every bump, which probably didn't help. My driving doesn't help a whole lot either, but the only time I really do anything terribly hard on my tires is in the rain. How hard is hanging the tail out on your tires in the rain as opposed to dry pavement?

You can also check Tires.com for comments and prices on tires.

I thought the same thing too. I never thought too highly of Dunlop, but this is an exception. I haven't gone hardly 1k miles on them yet, but the grip is incredible. I would be willing to give up some tread life for a tire as good as these. I was originally going to get Goodyear GS-D3's, Bridgestone Potenza RE050A P.P.'s, or BFGoodrich g-force TA KDW's. I did a crapload of research on tire rack and the Dunlops turn out to be the best pick.... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....t+Z1+Star+Spec

As for the all-season tires... sorry, I live in FL, and I've never even seen it snow before... lol. Go on tirerack and do your research... they have a great site that'll probably help you more than this thread will.
