i have a 96 mustang and i put aftermarket fog lamps on and they worked for a little while i ran them into the factory wire harness and they worked great but now after a while my dash lights dont work no more and the fog lamps dont work neather???? i replaced the factory head light switch and harness i was told that will fix the problem but it still didnt i dont really care anymore if the fog lamps work or not i just need my dash lights back..... anu ideas or has anyone one else have this problem??

so let me guess, you ran a wire from "somewhere" in your factory harness, straight to a switch, and then out to the fogs?

If so, that's completely wrong. You should run a wire from your headlight switch, tapped into your parking lamp wire, to a switch. Run the wire from the witch to a relay. Connect a wire from the battery to the relay, then run from the relay to the fog lamps. Install a 20amp fuse on the wire coming off of the battery. Look up how to wire a relay on google.

check all your fuses and relays to try and get the dash lights on those buggers are had to see if they are poped unless you pull them luckily ford packaged a fuse puller with our cars....as if they almost expected fuses to have to be changed regurlarly (at least i know they came with the 99-04)

did you do a GT take off kit or aftermarket pep boys specials?

if its aftermarket, return everything to the way it was stock and see if the dash lights work and work from there.
