Default Shifter Install

So I got a short shifter, but I'm not sure if I need the sealant or what type of sealant I need. Can anyone help me out?

When I bought mine it came with a new gasket. Did yours come with one?

Well use that, just make sure to scrape all the old gasket off the trans.
