Default Console suggestions?

I bought a 2000 mustang about 2 months ago, and the guy who owned it before me installed a new stereo system and now there is a gap in the console. It looks bad and I was just wondering if anyone else here has ever had to fill a similar gap and suggestions on what could go there. In the attached pic, it would be the region that appears to be just above the shifter but below the stereo, if it helps any.

Any input will be appreciated, thanks!

OIC, well you can get either a dash pocket, available at any good car audio shop, or get some abs and make a block off plate
