Default CAI problem

im trying to install my AM CAI following the video on AM and it says there is a air temperature thing that needs to be taken off the stock intake and put on the new one. problem is....i dont have a air temp. thing on my stock intake, theres not even spot for it on my stock intake. help please

I beleive the air temp thingy is on the v8's and the only thing you should have to take off of the old air intake is the mass air sensor.

the air temp sensor is the only thing you pull out from the top of the intake that connects to your TB. I have one on my car, so you have to as well. its the one electrical connection besides the MAF sensor.

In 2001, the V6 cars got them integrated into the MAF, so you won't have the external IAT probe. There should be a rubber grommet in the kit to plug the hole in the new cold air tube. If not, go to Home Depot (or similar store) and buy one.
