agreed! I know I stepped on mine quite a bit more when I got my CAI, so be aware. Also, you will lose quite a bit of MPG if you filled up with 10% ethanol gas. I've lost 50+ miles per tank due to ethanol. Now, I drive across town to fill up with the real stuff at fina.

yea. i have a rubber stopper im sealing it shut with, along with some sealant. and goin bak in and retightening all clamps and just making sure everything fits snug..

but does neyone know that if there is a slow leak somewhere, if the engine light will come on or not? or does the engine light only come on if there is a prob with the sensors?

You'll hear a very high pitched whistling noise coming from the leak. You can also use two old tricks of either using a can of wd-40 or car cleaner and spraying light sprays around any suspected leak areas to see if they engine reacts, or you can spray soap water and look for the bubbles. Leaks behind the MAF are especially bad, so look for those first.

I think you merely have a case of lead foot that usually comes from installing any performance parts lol

It happens to all of us.

hm.. i just read this sealant CAUTION directions and it says to keep away from a motor or anything that sparks... Um, are all sealants flammable? Im guessing they are... but if theres one that isn't or something out there that is a good bonding agent for two rubber pieces. can someone tell me what that is? Even though this sealant is on the intake, and pretty far from sparks, and very little will be used, it still says to keep away from high heat.. so i really dont wanna take any chances. My intake gets pretty hot here in Arizona... Thanks.
