Default Just curious..

You know I was just thinking.. I don't drive all that crazy but I was reading and it didnt hit me till now.. People were talking about how the V6 does the one wheel burnouts.. But I recall trying to get the tire to spin the one day and it just wouldn't.. I tried like 2 or 3 times to get the tire to spin when at a light and couldn't.. I mean i didn't try all that hard but i remember being on the brake and hitting the gas and nothing.. i also had tried to just do a quick takeoff where you floor the gas but nothing.. is there something I should be looking at or is it normal for the 6 to not burn out all the easily?

If you have traction control, turn it off. I had no problem doing burnouts with my auto. Put it in 1st in the gear select so it doesn't shift. Step on the brakes and press the gas until the tires start spinning... give it more gas until you are up to about 5k rpm... then put the gear shift in 2nd. Give it more gas... let off brake when you want to finish.

For manuals... the process is similar except you need to heel-toe the gas and brake to make it look good. Rev it to about 3k rpm with you foot on the brake (heel-toe)... drop the clutch in 1st... get it to about 5k, shift into 2nd (heel-toe)... then you can use the left foot for the brake and right for the gas after you make the shift.

I made it sound harder than it really is. I don't advise it tho... it tears **** up.

No... it just makes it easier on the rear end, trans, and clutch when you drop the clutch. For an auto, it doesn't matter as much. New asphalt usually gives the best smoke. If you wanna cheat, use bleach.

Or talk to your local Kumho dealer and get some red smoke tires.
