Guage cluster problems?
Maybe I didn't describe the situation as well as I would have liked. It seems unlikely both of you would mis-read what I wrote, so I will take the blame this time...
I do not plan on modding this car. I do not plan on keeping this car for a long time. And I do not plan on making it anymore than what it is now. My 98 is my beater car and I put over 800miles a week on it solely driving to school and back. Another 100miles or so for work. With all such beater cars, I will run it till it dies, and then junk it...
That being said, I don't want to dump any money into it. I don't really have the option anyways becuase I am in debt and there isn't money to fix everything wrong with it. The only reason I am replacing some things now is for safty, becuase I'm driving 1000 miles a week and the wheel bearings were bad (replaced last night), and the tires are beyond bald.Light was only 3$, so that doesn't apply.
Like I said, the problem isn't ignored, only the light. What difference does it make anyways? I don't need a light to tell me there is a problem, when I already know there is one there. Do you need a clock to tell you it is daytime when the sun is in the sky...?
But, this thread has gone 180 from what I was expecting. Does anyone have advice on the rpm issue?
Classics don't have computers, there are no codes, and the cluster lights are very easy. I don't mess with the 67 anymore, I should probably remove it from my sig...

So you do all this driving and you are ok with a car that has a problem that could easily progress to something that will leave stuck on the side of the road. Yea that makes sense.
