Default Turbo

Hey.. I was just wondering.. Is 2500 for semi used turbo a good price? All I need is an air filter, MAF meter, and Injectors.

My bad.. It is 2500 for the entire kit.. They are also including the MAF Meter and 4 42# injectors. They said i will just have to purchase 2 additional injectors and the air filiter and I would be good to install. The kit is being offered by a reputable company and is in "excellent" condition. Also I am not too knowledgable in the turbo area but would the Mac LT's and h-pipe bolt up to this?

No you have to have custom headers that put the exhaust through the turbo in front of the motor unless its a sts style

LT's won't work at all.

Only V6 turbo set up I'd ever get is a TMA set up. Even used, Andy's stuff is top notch (assuming the blower itself is in good shape). If it's one of those rip off ebay 'universal' kits, it won't work at all unless you dump another $5K into it, and even then you'll be mad.

What size head unit is it? What hp/tq did it put down?

It's the TMA Turbo Race Kit.

The kit includes the following:

-Garrett GT4088 65mm turbo
good to 700 HP according compressor
map. .72 a/r for great
combination of big power and
fast spool. This turbo is in excellent
condition!

-Thick walled stainless steel
headers for high energy and heat
entrapment to contain exhaust
energy for quick spool

-Large intercooler

-Greddy electronic boost controller
for adjustable boost

-TIAL wastgate

-TIAL BOV

-All hot side piping including exhaust down pipe

-All cold side piping

-All silicon rubber hose fittings and clamps

-Oil supply and return lines

also includes the SCT BA2400 MAF and said that the Turbo Headers were included with the kit.. Does it look like a good deal? My only worry was the stock internals but I hear that alot of guys run superchargers and turbos on pure stock cars.. I figured with the upgrades I am doing it might be able to handle it.. I was figuring putting something like 400hp to the wheels...

Anyone know how "involved" a tubo is to install? Just trying to figure out if it is something that is very time consuming or if its something that is pretty straight forward.. Reason being obviously with all the posts i have been making.. Is that I am soon having the SSM Stage 3 Power Pak which consists of heads, cam, p/p upper and lower intakes.. So i didnt know if it was something that a guy would include with that install being as everything has to come apart anyway or if i should expect a hefty install fee... thanks

Install will be VERY involved, but nothing you can't take your time and do yourself. The only thing you won't be able to do it dyno tune it.
