Default 94 motor into a 96 problems

hey guys I got a used 94 motor it was supposed to be a 98 but ended up being a 94 but i got it cheap to replace my old worn out engine (the 96). Anyhow, it should go pretty smooth but I noticed the 94 has a distributer and my 96 did not. What do I do about this? is there some way to get rid of the distributer or what? What did you guys do? I think everything else will be fine but i was not sure about the distributer. I also noticed that the water pump was different. It was the same thing except for the fact that it had to outlets for hoses. The one off of my 96 has one outlet. what do i need to do about that? use the 96 one or the 94?

If it has a distributor, it's not from a 94 mustang, I used to own a 95, coilpacks, where did you get the motor, and out of what.

It isn't legal to put an older motor into a car.

As stated, if it has a distributer, you have the wrong motor and it will not work with your current setup (yes it can be made to work, but at a nice price). All 94-98 V6s use ignition coils not distributers (although distributers are better IMO). There are only a handful of differences between the 94/95 V6 and the 96/98, but the biggest difference is that in 96 they went to an OBD II port and EEC V ecu instead of the OBD I and EEC IV setup. Also, the auto tranny was changed from an AODE tranny to a 4R70W.
