how can you tell if you have a 3.8 or 3.9l v6

well i found out that its a 3.9 i just want to make sure that the mods i want are still going to work. if i save up for a stage 2 package from supersix motorsports is the cam and heads going to work or will i have to find some specialty shop to get me a cam and heads?

there is no difference between 3.8 performance parts and 3.9 performance parts.

the sticker was on the hood and it said 3.9l group nd it doesnt have an intake air temp sensor

Nope.

Does anyone know why ford decided to do the 3.9? Did they have some and decided to put it into a few of the mustangs or was it an option for that year?

what i heard was in the second half of the manufacturing year they ran out of the 3.8s so they improvised
