ok, if what your saying is true everything i know about turbos is wrong? isnt there one two snail like sides, 1 exhaust input and 1 output and on the other side theres one side that pulls in air and the other pushes the air toward the engine? so how would two manifolds go into 1? unless you welded them together like a 6 to 1 configuration or something. i dont get it. please explain guys

Thanks for the replies everyone. Firstly, I'm planning on making a collecting pipe after the manifolds (Y-Pipe) to run a SINGLE turbo. I've considered flipping the manifolds and that might be tight for space so I think stuffing the turbo back underneath the car is a better idea. The only thing that needs to be running up front will be the intercooler and intake piping.
Any chance someone knows of a good model turbo that is going to spool up quickly and make 8 pounds through the 2000 - 5500 RPM range? I'm looking at Holset, Garrett, and Turbonetics Turbos but any make will do. I can't make up my mind whether to go with a little guy that will spool up with little lag or a big one that will be spooling almost constantly with some lag.
