Default Can't locate a rear end swap how-to

Ive been searching around for a little bit and I can't seem to find a write up on an 8.8 rear end swap right up to print out for a friend. I remember seeing one when I put mine in but I wont be around to give him a hand at the time he wants to put it in by.. Anyone able to post me a link to a past thread for a How-To. Pics arent a need but deffently helpful. lol.. Thanks.

There's really no big deal to it, it's literally an unbolt and rebolt deal.

1. Set the car on stands
2. Remove the back wheels
3. Unbolt the calipers
4. Remove rotors
5. Unbolt driveshaft, you don't have to remove it though
6. Support axle with jackstands, and unbolt the lower shock bolts
7. Unbolt the upper and lower control arms
8. If you have ABS, unbolt the sensors
9. Re-install rear end

It takes maybe 45 minutes to an hour. As long as it's being swapped through the same generation, then you're all set. If you're trying to put in a 98 and below into a 99-04 then you have to enlarge the lower control arm mount holes on the axle from 12mm to 14mm and use 1/2" spacers to make the tires sit correctly.

What if he just used the same axles out of the currently stock rear end would he need the spacers still or would it be good to go?

As in put new edge 7.5 shafts into an SN-95 housing? The brakes won't work if you do.

I think it will work, but I'm not sure. I've heard that the shafts are the same, but I won't for sure until I start my new job next week
