v8 or not

BTW Roush, in Xs defense, you really do put yourself off, in nearly every thread you make, that the essex V6 engine in a Mustang is the greatest block ever. No you never actually said that, but your word usage and "tone," if you will, highly suggest otherwise.
All I can say, owned a 98 V6, not worth my time, effort and money to mod IMO, others will disagree, and they're allowed to do so, that's like trying to convey an LS owner to buy a Ford and mod it, it's just not going to happen.

When we get down to total cost dollar for dollar with similar vehicles, it all comes out the same at the end of the track, regardless of engine size.
The V8 arguement is worthless considering how many 4-bangers are out there in the 9's, all v8 guys forget about the Grand National until one smokes them.
It seems to me that many, not all, but many Cobra owners have began to take on the old "vette owner" mentality. They start thinking a 32v is gods gift to the drag strip, when the 5.4's are the one running 11's stock, not 4.6's. I'll just keep running down Termi's in my little v6, wether I win or lose, I still put up a fight, and as soon as I finish phase 4, I'll gladly challenge pretty every "street" car, regardless of displacement.

Thanks for proving my point. Your Chevy is a 454, correct? And last time I checked, the 454 is an 8 cylinder. Thanks for the help.

You guys LOVE putting words in my mouth. If I thought th V6 was the end all of motors, wouldn't my Mach 1 have one under the hood? I've modded 3 fox body V8s while owning my V6 - wouldn't I have swapped a V6 into those if I thought as you claim?
My point is (and ALWAYS has been) that the V6 is over looked with no reason other than too many fan boys have blinders on that only allow them to see V8. The V6 is not the wimpy motor all the V8 fans boys swear it is. What you do see me posting time and time again is to NOT OVER LOOK using what you have. There is no need to swap the V6 for a V8. Go look at what I post, and you'll find it to be true. If you want a V8 to make 500hp, go buy a V8 and make it 500hp. If you have a V6 and want a fast car, make your V6 fast. It's the smartest option.
Also, I see a lot of people making fun of stock V6 cars. I'm not talking about the power a stock car has to offer. (Though when was the last time you saw a stock GT or a stock Cobra owner get props from a fan boy for having a stock car?) I also see people talking about the owner base of V6 cars not having a strong performance background. I'm not talking about that either. For one more example, it was posted the V6 world has minimal aftermarket support. Again, this has NOTHING to do with the potential of this motor to make power. All of these go back to people putting words in my mouth again, and trying to turn away from the tech that says these V6 motors offer a lot of perks the V8 can only dream of.

Nobody is throwing you under the bus by any means Roush, I know you know your stuff, and you have my up most respect, but go back and read over some of your old post, the point X made about your online voice towards the V6 is a pretty valid one, that's all we're saying. It may not be how you feel in real life, but it's the way you portray yourself online.
