Default Quick Question Regarding Tuning..

Ok.. Now I am having the engine put in and being that I am having it all done at once I had a few questions... I am having the Roush Side Exhaust kit put in as well as the Roush body kit.. now i am not 100% but I am going to assume that the body kit would have to be installed before the exhaust get put on.. however i wanted to get all the engine work out of the way prior to having any body work done to prevent scratching and whatnot.. so i was wondering.. I have the SCT programmer which most said would get me in the area to get the car running ok but I would still need to take it to a dyno place to have it dyno tuned.. so can i have it tuned and everything without the exhaust put on or does the exhaust have to be put on to get the car tuned properly.. basically we are looking at doing it in these steps

1. Install engine - leaving open headers
2. Install SCT Tune to get vehicle driveable
3. Take vehicle dynoe tuned
4. Put vehicle in body shop to have painted and body kit installed
5. Put side exhaust on

this is how we are looking at getting it done.. i was hoping it would have been more where all the engine work gets done.. then put in the shop then dyno tuned but i wasnt sure if the guy could install the side exhaust first and have the body kit installed after.. just didnt want to have to take the exhaust on and off, on and off if you know what i mean.. thanks for any input.

I don't think that you not hooking up the rest of the exhaust to the headers will cause a huge problem with the tune..but idk for sure

As a collision technician i'm going to say get the exhaust done before tuning, because it honestly doesn't matter either way concerning the body kit thingy, but open headers vs. full exhaust w/ headers are very different and will affect how the car is tuned.

LT's w/ no mufflers is just retarded. Trust me... put the mufflers on before you drive it anywhere.

No it wasnt going to be a matter of driving it.. i can have it towed to the dyno place and whatnot until the exhaust gets done.. ijust didnt know if it will affect the actual tuning process
