Default Severe Coolant Leak

I have a pretty bad coolant leak where a black pipe meets the water pump. I do not know the name of the black pipe, but it's right above the thermostat, and meets another pipe with a bolt on top of it. You can see it in this pic, but the point that is leaking is where it meets the water pump: http://www.mustangspecs.com/carpics/04engine1.jpg

I replaced the "O-Ring" that goes into it, but that hasn't helped. I need help?!?

Did you lube the new o-ring? It's possible that it could have been damaged when it was re-installed, it's very easy to do that. You have to manually seat the tube before you put the boilt it or it will tear it.

thanks for the reply.
I didn't lube it, but coolant was everywhere so I thought that may have been sufficient. The weird thing is it's not leaking right down at the bottom, it's coming out right above that little plate that you bolt down.

I had the same problem with my old 95, I lost the 0 ring, had to go to the dealership and get a new one, nobody carry's them here. It was like 8 bucks or something, damn new pump didn't come with it.

then you may actually have a leak at the bolt flange. Remove that sucker and slap some good old jb weld on it and you should be set. Just clean it really well before you do it or it will fail.
