ive got an 02 v6 with diablosport, cold air, and a couple other goodies. Ive heard about the throttle body from both sides. Saying that its a waste and saying it gives you some amount of horsepower worth buying it. Whats the truth? Ive heard it also has a nice whine sound too. Idk im just trying to decide what to buy next for my car.

 

Waste. I kept my stock TB right up until I did my blower - which was the last thing I did.

 

I think for now, your money could be better spent, maybe a decent exhaust setup. I've also heard a little whine will come with it, but is that worth $250? With the mods you have I can't see you gaining more than a couple (1-3ish hp). They help more once you have a much more efficient motor that Needs more air.

Your sig says stroke, meaning stroked out to a 4.2? With heads a cam and port and polished intakes? I think it might help you more than a stock motor, but I still don't think it would be a really significant gain.
