Default no heat

My heat has stopped working and I was wondering if anyone had any troubleshooting ideas. The fans working, just doesn't blow hot air. A/C works great.

Any thoughts?

Year/make/model/engine of the vehicle? How many miles are on it? When was the last time the thermostat was replaced?

is the car heating up alot(temp gauge)? if so, your thermostat might be stuck closed and the heated coolant might not be able to reach your heater core.

Heater core might be busted. I lost the heater core in my 85 Fox and didnt get any heat because of that (plus the damn thing leaked all over my carpet inside and ruined it).

Could be the heater diverter valve or whatever they call it these days. It's the valve that's attached to your dash dial that controls hot/cold. When you turn it to hot it turns the valve (vacuum actuated) to allow the coolant to flow through the heater core. When you turn it to the cold side it closes the valve and the water in the core gets trapped and dissipates it's heat until it's the same temp as whatever air is going through it.

When heater cores go bad they usually leak. If it's blocked you would have other problems as well like over heating since that radiator or thermostat would be blocked as well.
