Default new wheels

i was wondering if a 245/45/17 tire will fit on a 17x9 wheel. I want new wheels but without being able to use two of the good front tires i cant afford it. I found some black cobra 2003 wheels for about 450 a set.

I think they will but its not the right size and will look funny. I want to say 275-40 is the right size for a 9 inch rim, not positive though.

245 width will be a bit of a stretch. It will fit, but it won't look great.

for a 9" wheel, i wouldnt go with between a 255-275 width. I run a 255 on mine, and a friend has a 245. both of us have nittos, but taht 10mm makes a difference.

255/45 is just about right, I had them and still they looked a little skinny for the rim.

hit a larger pot hole and it could dismount the tire. also if it's to skinny it can lay some sidewall on the road in a hard corner or expose it to sharp object. and go ka boom
