Default Cold Air Intake/True Dual Exhaust

I've been debating on getting an ebay cai and havent quite made up my mind. i've read around on here and from what i understand they dont do anything but increase throttle response and maybe make it louder at high rpm's. i recently got true divorced dual's (thrush welded series). if i add a cai will it actually help me (hp, torque, mpg wise) because of my true duals and not my restricted stock exhaust? any response is greatly appreciated

with eaby CAI it's a 50/50 chance. get a $70 setup from AM. easy to install and works great. and will give a noticeable difference in the way your car sounds and drives.

EBAY CAI FTMFW!!!! No but seriously a cai will add a little pep, maybe, and make your exhaust sound a little better.

ok 50/50 chance with an ebay cai? what do you mean by that? i'm thinking this right here...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999-...Q5fAccessories

and as far as this AM set up for 70 bucks? well the only thing close to that i can find is AEM or K&N and both are nowhere near 70 bucks. where can i find what your trying to tell me about?

Its a supporting mod and will help other mods meet a fuller potential.

The AM (our sponsor) CAI is a great way to go, like said before.

A 73mm MAF is also another good upgrade as well as the 70mm TB.

They all work together for better performance.

Now a TB spacer will not help but a phenolic spacer will help a little.

The VAP Windstar intake kit is probably the best. I think its about $400 and comes with a CAI, but not the 73mm MAF and there will be no need for a phenolic spacer.

You should also get a ported lower intake manifold while you are at it as it flows really poorly. The heads flow really well so you will not have to touch these for a while.

Good luck
