The engine was out for a rebuild so they called it an inoperable vehicle and it must be removed from the property.

Sucked.

Yes, I know that you arent serious about your thread but like I already said, some people got way too serious about it and actually did something.

Sensoring people even further.

In Sacramento we cant restore cars on our property because it is an eye sore, you cant even do it in the garage. If your actions are called to attention the city will inspect your property inside and out to make sure that you are not working on anything.

Yes you can get away with it but it just takes 1 ******* to turn you in.

My wifes 71' Mach 1 was turned in and its a solid color with no rust holes.

We had to tow it to a storage yard because they would not allow us to have it on the property or in the garage.

If a car as beautiful as the 71' Mach 1 can be called a trashy eye sore then whats next?

At least they couldnt stop me from rebuilding the engine.
Yes sir, I live in Sacramento and people are ********. My brothers and I rebuild Challengers, Barracudas, Chargers, etc... all the time. I just got finished with a 71 Chally 340 matching numbers car, anyway, it only takes one hater to call the city on you for some nonsense. The same person will drive by and gawk at the ride when it's finished tho'. To all you Dodge haters in Sacramento, you can suck the exhaust vapors from my mufflers when I blow by your house at WOT.

I hear the towing junk. I had my truck towed for a flat tire in the middle of the night. Happend after I parked it after work. I didn't even know. Same deal...'Inoperative vehicle'.

The city takes action on it because they make money.
If they couldn't make money either from the bill or the auction of the vehicle they wouldn't do it. They would ignore it like they ignore every other complaint that doesn't make money.

Greed; anything they can do to get extra money.
