Default torque converter install??

Not really sure I want to do that in my driveway, how much does it normally run to have a converter installed. Just a guesstimate so I know what I'm looking at would be great. I was thinking in the ballpark of $300? Or if it can be done at home, and its not ridiculous let me know. Thanks guys.

torque converters are easy to install, if u can bench press like 150 lbs u don't even need a jack to lift/lower the trans. remove the mid pipe, drive shaft, remove the bolts and sensor connectors for the trans, remove bolts on the torque converter/flex plate lower trans down swap converter assemble. ive done it in the drive way before with no more than mere hand tools.
