Windshield washer spray issue
Hey,
On my girlies '98 'stang, when you push in the windshield wiper lever to activate the windshield washer spray, the spray on the drivers side only reaches about 6 inches up the windshield and the one on the passenger side only goes about 1 inch up the windshield. The fluid comes out of the nozzle with good pressure. The problem appears to be the angle of the spray nozzle. I've tried wiggling it etc, but can't figure out how to redirect it so it points further up the windshield. Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

They can get clogged up over time (Our 96' did) and stop spraying.
You can remove them and force water through where they spray out to try to flush anything out or you can stick a find needle in the hole to try to work whatever is stuck in there out but it probably wont last long before it gets jammed in there again.
If its a soap or mineral build up you can boil them and see if that helps to remove the buildup.
Also you could price a new set from the dealer.
If the problem persists then you might have a clog or buildup in your lines and if still then you probably have a weak pump.

ppuuuuullll. be careful about it though. I'm petty ure you have to disconnect the hose fromunder the hood and the neck of the sprayers has to be squeezed to let it slide through the top of the hood. then go to your local aut parts store and buy a universal set fo ~10 bucks.

Thanks alot... Took the cowl of and disconnected all the visible hoses. With a hand pump, I ran some hot water through the hoses I removed. I then took a safety pin and wiggled it around in the nozzle opening. Put it all back together and no its great... :-) Fluid now shoots all over the windshield and up onto the convertible top like it should. Thanks alot...
