Your stock shocks/struts will wear out faster so you'll want to upgrade those. Any lower than 1.5 inches generally you'll need cc plates. You can get away without them if you want. Instead of spending over $800 for some decent springs, shocks, and cc plates you might want to look at a coil-over system. Or get it done cheap, find some roush springs. They will give you about a .75 inch drop so it will look better but you won't need cc plates and your shocks/struts should last longer because its not that low and they were designed to work with stock suspension.

OP... you could also go with C rated spring by Ford. It'll drop you an inch around. CC plates aren't need for them as well and the set is only $169 new. Im not sure though how they compare to Roush. I know they a bit less expensive. (Roush your paying mostly for the name) lol

Dude... already said of such (see earlier post). But im just for warning you: Your quality of ride as well handing will not be as good as it can by going cheap or by going half in. It's kinda like when you change your oil. You just can't change the oil. You should change the oil filter as well. They work in conjuction with one another.
