does the abs sensor affect traction control?
I just pulled apart my right rear axle to do a axle seal. When pulling it apart i tried to remove the speed sensor from the backing plate to let the axle move in more to the diff to make it easier to remove the c clip, and must have ruined the sensor. When i pulled the car out of the garage the abs light came on and then when i looked down the traction control off light was on. So Would the abs have anything to do with the traction contol being off? Also anyone know how to remove the abs sensor? I removed the bolt and then ruined it trying to remove it any tips? thanks

ok good i was worried something else could be wrong also. The haynes repair manual dont go into any specifics on replacing a wheel speed sensor i just ordered one from rock auto for $50 shipped to my door. Now just have to figure out how to get the old one off and new one on. car is a 2001 thanks

I saw that one dude had a mechanic who fried his caliper with a torch in attempt to loosen it up and actually just fried his abs wire without knowing somehow. Traction control light came on. Use this as a guideline.
