ok thanks guy i appreciate everyone's help!!! where could i get the pins though? autozone, advanced auto, etc?

The doors on these cars are heavy and the pins are weak, they always wear out, if you don't replace them when you start having problems it will start causing fender damage. For how cheap and easy they are to replace, and how common this problem is it isn't worth messing around with grease, you may quiet it for a little while, but you will be right back to replacing the pins soon enough.

I bought my last set from rockauto.com

im gona need a set soon too, what category did you look under for the pins?

I was led to believe you need to change the whole hinge. Id be interested in where to get the pins and maybe a howto with pics doing the fix
