Default Trying to lower my stang ran into trouble... help

Trying to put in my new H&R springs and with out dropping the A-frame all the way I can't get the new one in on the front. I've tried renting two different spring compression tools but they don't work with the A-frame. One wont fit at all and the other i can't get it out one i have it installed. To big for the hole in the A-frame. I thought I would have better luck. The only other thing i can think of is to drop the whole A-frame down and fight the whole thing up with a jack. Anyone have any ideas??

Just a quick reveiw of what i've disassembled. Removed the tire, brake calliber, brake disk, strut, sway bar link, and disconnected the tie rod end. After loweing the A-frame with a jack, I was able to pry the old one out without to much hassle. And the new one is shorter but i am missing being able to pry it in by an inch.

I'm just worried about trying to reallign the A-frame bolts. I mean I'm worried the spring may fight me and try to push things out of the way on the way up. Any sugestions.

You should be able to leave the A arms attached and pivot them down enough to slide the new spring in without too much trouble. Then use the jack to compress it back together.

Did you unhook steering, strut, sway bar and what not?

as long as you don't completely take it off you should be fine, and make sure everything you need to disconnect is, like LilRoush says

Maybe i need to jack it up higher. But that was as high as i could get it without boosting the jack. One day i really gotta invest in a better jack.

Jack it up higher and use a 4' pry bar.

That's how I did it.

Check the how to sticky for a little extra help.

I got em in tonight. I found that it's easier to work it in A. When it's higher and B. When you have the upper boot in the hole prior to squeezng in the spring. After I got it figured out the passenger side went in a lot quicker. Tomorrow I do the rear springs. THopefully that will go a little smoother. And yes I've been following the how to sticky. I like it better than my Chiltons or Haynes manuals. Thanks everyone for your help.
