Default overheating

I got a 94 Mustang that we just replaced the waterpump in. Now it overheats after just a few miles. Tried flushing the system, new thermostat and bleeding the system, the radiator is only 6 months old. Any ideas?

Either something is clogged inside the system, the new thermostat is the wrong temp thermostat, one of the fluid lines is kinked, there isnt enough fluid in the system or the water pump isn't circulating fluid at a rate that the engine requires.

could also be an air pocket somewhere in the system. try burping it.

Tried burping it. Coolant level is okay, hoses not kinked. Trouble started with the new water pump. Could that be defective somehow?

Could just be that it's a 94 and needs new head gaskets, like pretty much all of them. Just make sure you use the factory stuff.
