Brake pads
Yup, those are GT/V6 calipers.
I am running Duarlast Golds on my 01' because they came with it.
They are fine enough and have a lifetime warranty but they do suck if really cold or wet.
They are a ceramic pad.

My car is stock other than full exhaust, LSD, and Drop in K&N. I put the Bullitt brakes on and they are night and day between the stock ones.
Yeah, the brembo's hold up very well and are ok to buy used as long as they arent warped, badly grooved or cracked.
Brembo's are OE rotors on the 03/04 Cobra and the rears are vented as well so dont let someone selling them used talk them up like they bought them as an upgrade.
You dont have to upgrade the rears just yet but it would be good to upgrade them later but to make it a whole you could just wait for a Bullitt or Mach 1 complete diff to come up for sale or do an IRS swap.
To me thats a better idea anyways, but I like to do upgrades in a group to get more work done without having to come back to it later for another part and to feel more of a change at the time of completion.

Well thats something that you should decide for yourself, I like to get deals so $250 and below for a perfect front set is what I would be willing to spend. Thats great pads, rotors, lines and calipers.
Check SVTPerformance and ebay for pricing.
Watching a few auctions till the end on ebay will give you an idea of fair market value on a used kit.
My wife sold an extra set of 97' Cobra calipers (Smaller pistons than the 03/04) and OE lines last year that were rebuilt and freshly painted with black Ceramic brake caliper paint for $150 to give you an idea on calipers alone. We started higher than that but they werent getting many bites.
People seem to be ok paying around $350-400 for a good used kit though.
Research will only tell you what you want to pay.

A side note though.
Just because the guy was asking $500 for his kit doesnt mean he got that.
PM the guy that was selling it and ask him/her how much they got shipped for it, most people on SVTP will be happy to answer your question as long as you polite and mention that you are just trying to gain more knowledge of fair market value they will be happy to tell you.
