Well...

General consensus over 5 different v6 forums: Bosch platinum +*insert number here* always cause cars to run worse. And all the rest of the crazy E9 whatever plugs are just a waste of your money.

99% of the 400-500-600 hp guys are using regular ngk/motorcraft/autolite copper plugs or irridums.

Wires are wires, but I've been through 3 sets of Livewires, and 2 SD coils.

As for gas mileage, your not going to gain anything... You might get back something from having a weak spark with OLD plugs but thats about it.

Grannatelli wires, Copper Core plugs, and a SD coil has worked perfectly for me a while now. Not to say ANY other product could or could not do better. 100% Motorcraft would be my second option if not for price and accessibility.

Don't worry. Mythbusters proved that is very hard to accomplish. Lol

I run a MC coil, MC wires, and NGK tr6 plugs. My ignition system works fine for me, the car is making 300+hp. I think on a stock car, MC parts will be just fine.

Do they make Grannatelli wires for a 97 V6? And if so where?

Holy hell?! 3 sets of Livewires?
Why were they failing early?

Not sure, I sent them all back to PD, never got an actual answer.... I have 9mm ford racing wires now that haven't had any issues.

One set the metal inside the plug kept coming apart.

That sucks, thats the first I have heard of any problems from them.
I will have to keep my eyes open a little more now for threads about them.
