Default O2 Sensor question

I need to install my rear o2 sensors this weekend on the 6'er and was wondering what the difference is between the rear o2's and fronts... The sensor looks exactly the same, the wiring is the same, and it has the same 4 pin connector. the only difference is the 2 small plastic pieces on the male connector that stop it from fitting into the female rear connector... Just saying. because I need to either buy a new rear o2 sensor... OR I could just pull one of the front o2 sensors off the 97 engine I have and snip those two thin plastic stubs. Would this work?

I would go ahead and buy a new sensor for the rear, just so it matches up and it'll be fresh anyways. It shouldn't be much I went ahead and put in a motorcraft o2 sensor for $6 from advanced auto

I would spend the couple bucks, that way you know its right and if youremove the clip vibration could make it fall off.

yeah it's cheap lol no biggie. It was either $6.38 or $3.28, one of those prices. But I definitely remember no higher than $6.

I find it very hard to believe that an O2 sensor is under 50 dollars. and about the clips, the clip is still there, there are just two small pieces of palstic that make it match up to the female connector. it will still be held in place...
