Default buying my first mustang

So Ive founda 95 v6 auto 178km new water pump but im told is rusted around the gas tank
I'm viewing it Saturday

My question is. Should I consider it? Is this a comon thing?
What other. Things should. I look for when I go to see the car

Millage doesn't mean much, depends on how well the motor was taken care of, but the rust could be a huge issue. If you've ever seen Overhaulin, or any of those car restoration shows you know how much of a pain rust can be.

well he tells me just around the gas tank

so im thinking new peices of metal and welding..

and 500$ bucks is what hes askin

Hey for $500 bucks you cant go wrong.

If it turns into a miserable mess you could always part it out and make your money back plus some.

Its a pretty good idea to strip everything out around the infected area (I hate cancer!) and really look hard for any other signs of rust or possible starts.

Once repaired be sure to use Por15 to seal it forever.

POR 15 is good ****, did the frame on my buddies Kenworth with it and its the hell of a lot better then rustoleam.

careful welding around the gas tank

Best to remove that biznatch when welding.

My wife stripped and coated her K-Member with POR15 Gloss black.

You cant beat POR15.

only prob it i dont weld i mean i can i just aint that experieced so would probly be taking it in...
