Default 2000 Mustang

Hey Guys,

I recently purchased a used 2000 Mustang v6 with 150,000 miles.. one of these days while at a red light the car began to idle hard vibrating a lot, i kept driving and while on the highway the engine started "clicking" (sounded much like spark knock).. I pulled to the side and the car turned off, I tried to turn it back on but the battery wasnt making a good contact so i moved it around a little and the engine turned on, but i heard a knocking noise coming from the engine.. and a little bit of white smoke coming from it as well... SO i called a Tow truck and havent driven the car since...

The engine sounds good when you turn it on, it seems the the spark knock happens only under heavy acceleration.. and the knocking I havent been able to reproduce (I havent tried)

the Oil levels are ok, I replaced the PCV Valve.. What should I do next? I was planning to Seafoam the car (get built up carbon out of there), then to change the oil and add lucas, and then add an in-line fuel filter to the PCV Valve going back into the upper intake as seen here
Code:

... but first I wanted to hear opinions form you guys... please be gentle this is my first mustang.. The car seems to have been well maintained but you never know..

When idling and shaking like that it was a slipped harmonic balancer on my 2000. As for a ticking for me it was an exhaust leak between the cats and the headers. But since you described it more as a knocking noise and white smoke it seems more serious. Hopefully one of the other guys can help you out here soon. As far as the PCV valve goes, there's a design flaw with the 99-00 which can suck oil up unless you added the modded oil separater. Best of luck to you
