Default dist help

hello i,m hoping someone can help, I have a 1994 mustang, i took out the 3.8L ENGINE AND put a old style 351w engine in it,re did all the wiring. It needs a dist, but all the ones at jegs ,summit, etc are not right. my problem is the dist they sent me,the shaft that goes into the oil pump is not long enough. It has to be a inch and a half long from the cog wheel down. They keep sending me the short ones. At this point i dont no what to do. I was told that there is 2 different ones for a 351w is this true? my car is carb not fuel inj. plz help

Had the same problem on an 84 bronco. There were two versions of the 351w, the 2bl and the HO, mine was the 2bl swapped to a 4bl so i always ordered the 4bl parts and they were wrong, so look into the VIN to see what the vehicle came with originally. hope that helps
