Starting Issues
Hey, pretty new here(as a member, I've browsed to find fixes for many problems) and I'm curious to see what you guys think the issue is. I've got a 1998 v6 5sp Mustang and it's got some trouble starting. It starts up almost everytime on the second crank and I've never had it not start at all. Leads me to believe a fuel pressure problem. Thus far I've replaced:
Spark plugs and wires
Fuel Filter
Fuel pressure regulator
Purge Valve
Air intake temperature sensor
My only idea left is Fuel Pump itself but I've also read it can be the MAF? Since these are the more expensive items, wondering if it's these or if there are more cheaper things to replace.
I should note that I also try turning the key to the on position to let fuel pressure build prior to turning it on and it doesn't help. Also, if its just been run and I turn it off and turn it back on within 5 minutes it starts right up.
