Default Is this normal?

Ive never really messed with my mustang with the hood up, and today I did because i was messing with my CAI, and i noticed like a ticking coming from my intake manifold..Please tell me this is normal. Its defiantly not a knocking, almost sounds like a spark tick. Should i replace my Coil Pack?

It's probably the injectors making noise. It's normal, you just don't notice it with the hood closed or while driving.

If the car is running fine and there's no SES or CEL lights on then you're good.

Just in case you didnt know there is really nothing diffrent between the 3.8 and the 3.9 but a motor will only 20k is good. Are you going to build the motor before you put it in? It will be alot easier.

I had a thread about this maybe a week or so ago, and someone recommended i throw the 3.9 in the car, and rebuild the 3.8. I would feel more comfortable doing that considering the mileage difference

Sorry, just been thinking about this alot lately, i still have the ticking, but it started after a dosage of seafoam is when i first heard it...they still are waiting on insurance for some reason, her moms back is really messed up...but my motor inst going to crap out on me is it. Still just a tick when the hood is lifted, other than that no problems. i called a couple of places here in Richmond, VA and they were all saying to rebuild the top end id be looking at around $1300. 2 out of 4 said it would be dumb to rebuild the top end of a motor with 200 thousand miles because i would just blow the bottom end out. I am unsure of what the deal is with the 2004 3.9L, i might be getting it i might not. Depends on if they buy back from insurance or not. Its all about money right now. Her mustang was an auto, will it bolt right up to my T5 manual?
